I did this 11x14 Yoda on Ampersand Pastel Art Board. It is for my son for Christmas. It was done with Nupastel and Derwent pastel pencils in combination with Gamsol and brush.
I am considering Hellboy as my next project. I may even do a watercolor under-painting first too. I know…crazy right? :P

I am working on a new Firetower Studios comic project with writer Jeremy Whitley called Illegal.
This was done at 4x6 in blue line and a 4h lead. I try to do a lot in the thumbnail stage to make things easier on me. I am thumbnailing the entire book as well before I get into inking etc.
I tried a new process with this one. I am constantly tweaking my process. This is both bad and good I guess it will take 100+ strips before I can settle on how I want to do these things. Fun either way. With this one I thumbed out the strip in blue line and 4h pencil over it. I scanned it in and inked and lettered it in Manga Studio EX4. Back at it.

I really liked how this comic came out. Looking back at the beginning of this strip up until now, I can see myself improving. I can’t wait to see where I am at 10 more strips from now.
